YCSH stationary heater · Installation instructions, use and maintenance

Intended use of heating

The heater is designed to provide heat and maintain a comfortable temperature in the following vehicles and spaces :

• Vehicles : Cars, vans, caravans and motorhomes.
• Closed spaces : Chalets, garages, sheds and other similar environments.

Operating characteristics :

• Works independently of vehicle engine, using diesel as an energy source.
• Requires electrical connection 12 V capable of providing an instantaneous consumption of at least 10 A.
• Includes automatic temperature regulation via a sensor integrated into the control screen.

Noticed : This equipment provides efficient and autonomous heating for a wide range of applications.

Standards for installation in the vehicle

1. Protection against heat and spills : protect nearby parts and prevent possible leaks from damaging other components.
2. Distance et ventilation : maintain an appropriate distance and ensure sufficient ventilation in the compartment.
3. Protective materials : use refractory/thermal protective materials if necessary.
4. Equipment identification : after installation, stick a copy of the manufacturer's sticker in a visible and accessible place on the vehicle.

Standards for mounting inside the vehicle

1. The use of disconnectable fittings on exhaust and fuel lines is prohibited.
2. The exhaust and intake pipes must be secured with the clamps provided and exit outside.
3. The installation surface must be completely flat (use a mounting plate if not).
4. On wooden surfaces : cut around the exhaust pipe leaving 2–3 cm, or cut the perimeter to rest on the vehicle's sheetmetal.

Fuel supply

• Via “T” connection or connection installed on the vehicle tank.
• In portable version, the tank integrated into the heater can be used.

• Not accepted for technical inspection in Spain.
• The heater must be connected to the vehicle's tank using the accessories provided in the installation kit.

The T-piece supplied with the equipment can only be used on vehicles without pre-pump in the tank. (Otherwise, diesel will come out of the heater exhaust/intake when starting the engine).
Depending on the type of vehicle, the year, etc., it can be mounted on the GO or RETURN ; in some cases, a check valve is necessary so as not to disappoint the vehicle's fuel line.
The best way is to use the socket provided with the equipment. Some tanks already have a housing or milling for installation, and some vehicles even have pre-installation for independent heating.

The fuel line should be as short as possible, respecting a maximum distance of 5 m.
It is recommended to install the pump near the tank, between 0 et 1 m, or up to the maximum pump cable length, the longest section still remaining between the pump and the heater (max. 4 m).

Exhaust system

⚠ Important Warning :
The equipment is designed and tuned to work with the original exhaust tube provided. It is not recommended to modify its length.

If an extension is needed, it must not exceed 30 additional cm, while maintaining the same diameter and the same characteristics as the original tube. Incorrect modification will affect performance, will cause soot buildup and erratic operation.

• The outlet must be installed in such a way as to completely prevent the entry of gases into the passenger compartment..
• Keep the exhaust outlet away from any opening or air intake in the passenger compartment.

Combustion air intake

⚠ Important Warning : The combustion intake tube is calculated and adjusted for this equipment. It is strictly forbidden to lengthen it or modify its diameter or characteristics.. Only shortening is permitted if necessary for installation.

Any unauthorized modification may cause incomplete combustion, dysfunctions, soot buildup and voiding the warranty.

• Air for the combustion chamber must not be taken from inside the vehicle.
• Inlet must be installed/protected to prevent blockage.

Hot air intake

• May come from within (recirculation) or from outside (clean air, not polluted by exhaust gases).
• If the air comes from outside : protect the duct with a screen and position the inlet to avoid contamination by harmful gases.

Hot air outlet

Ducts must be installed securely. It is imperative that the exit cannot be blocked.
For a water heater with hot air inlet used jointly, it is recommended to mount a Y to distribute the flow of hot air.

Installation

Permitted mounting positions

• Recommended : position normal.
• Inclined : up to 30°, with the lower end towards the hot air outlet.
• Rotated : 90° on a single side ; diesel inlet and spark plug always at the top.

Outdoor mounting

• Splash protection : sheltered from water, snow or dirt.
• Orientation : horizontal, downward exhaust, tilt up to 30° ; si rotation 90°, candle and diesel inlet always at the top.
• Gas evacuation : the exhaust pipe must be oriented so that gases cannot return to the vehicle or affect sensitive components. Slight downward tilt or drainage hole 4 mm recommended.
• Distances : maintain adequate distance between the exhaust system and heat-sensitive components. Avoid contact with electrical cables, hoses, fuel lines and plastic parts.
• Solid fixation : the heater must be firmly fixed with its original anchors to avoid damage by vibration.
• Waterproof supports and boxes : use specific supports or waterproof boxes to protect the heater from shocks and splashes of water/snow.

Changing the position of the wiring harness

• Remove the top cover.
• Run the cable under the motor to the other end.
• Remove the opposite rubber stopper before placing the cable.
• The useful length of the cable will be reduced.
• Replace the original cap and reassemble the top cover.

Installation and fixing of the heater

To ensure safe and stable installation :

Drillings :

• Exhaust.
• Admission d’air pour combustion.
• Fuel connection.

Using the mounting plate :

Mandatory if the surface is not flat, has irregularities or ribs.

The plate ensures complete and stable support of the heater, avoiding deformation and damage.

Fixing and support surface :

• Never place the heater directly on irregularities, objects, wiring, insulators or other components.
• Bodywork contact (aluminum or plastic) with external elements can cause deformations blocking the motor and leading to irreversible damage not covered by the warranty.

Waterproofing :

• Correctly install the gasket provided to prevent the entry of gas through the holes made.

Minimal separation from walls and furniture

Recommended : 5 cm. Otherwise :

• Aluminum bodywork : can be glued (heats little).
• Plastic bodywork : mandatory minimum 2 cm (difficulty dismantling/maintenance).

Hot air ducts

Install pipes securely. Without suction duct, maintain the grid ; Otherwise, use a equivalent grid 2kw or 5kw depending on the model.

Do not suck hot air directly from the outlet ; keep it as far away as possible. Avoid sharp curves in 10 cm and 90° elbows at the outlet to avoid overheating and errors.

Exhaust pipe portable version

• Short section : only for outdoor use, for underfloor heating, can be folded to direct gases laterally.
• Section longue : for fixed installation, double layer, more robust, can be cut and include a silencer ; the short section is placed after the silencer.

Install the combustion inlet to prevent the aspiration of exhaust gases.
Protect against air entry, eau, mud, snow. Exhaust as straight as possible, inclined downward ; provide drainage drilling in case of “stomach”.

Silent : as in the picture or horizontal slightly inclined downwards. The final section after the muffler should point towards the ground.

Ideal inclination : 15–35° (can be vertical). Electrical connector side = output, must be higher.

Installing the control panel

The panel includes a temperature probe : a bad location distorts the reading.

• Do not install in front of a draft or on a metal surface.
• Excessive handling heats the panel and temporarily distorts the reading.
• If extension by cutting/splicing : do not reverse the cables (damaged screen, no guarantee).
• Not recommended to exceed 5–6 m.

Battery power recommendations

Cable 2,5 mm² up to 2 m from the battery. For more distance or non-optimal lead/AGM/GEL batteries :

• Cut near main connector.
• Extend with thicker cable (4 mm² you 6 mm² depending on distance).

Caution : tension < 11,8 V peut causer des défauts (batterie faible, chute de tension), combustion imparfaite et suie.

Heating test after installation

1. Check that the propeller turns freely (blockage = engine risk, not guarantors).
2. Check battery voltage ≥ 11,8 V (poster).
3. Check configuration : power (2 your kW 5 kW) and pump type (22 ml).
4. Drain fuel until heating ; avoid excessive bleeding (portable max 20 s).

Tests on first startup

Si purge excessive : white smoke 5–10 min. Set max power (mode 10). After ~15 mins, no more smoke.
Then min power (1), wait for stabilization, observe exit : no black smoke.

Heating start-up phases

1. The fan starts to spin slightly.
2. The glow plug lights up (40–60 s).
3. Pump operates intermittently.
4. After 3–4 mins, the increase in temperature becomes noticeable (not instantaneous).

YCSH heating maintenance

Fixed equipment

For optimal operation, It is recommended to operate the equipment approximately 15 minutes all the 30-40 days at maximum power. This allows fuel to be replenished in the pump and lines., avoiding its degradation.

Portable Equipment

1. Recommended option : empty the tank completely and run the heater until it turns off with theerror 8.
2. Alternative (if installation does not allow complete draining) : fill the tank in small quantities and consume them proportionally. Allows fuel to be renewed without accumulation in the tank.

Consequences of not performing maintenance

With time, diesel deteriorates due to biodiesel and humidity, provoking :

✅ Color change to more intense yellow.
✅ Formation of sticky deposits at the bottom of the tank.
✅ Possible development of diesel bacteria.

These residues can adhere to the pump piston, hindering its movement and causing :

❌ Faulty operation.
❌ Complete blockage of the pump.
❌ Expensive and complicated repairs (depending on equipment and installation).

Periodic maintenance is essential to extend the life of the equipment and avoid breakdowns not covered by warranty.

Must be carried out after installation and within 365 days following purchase.
The warranty only covers manufacturing defects, not damage due to incorrect installation (soot or breakdowns).

Important : Activation must be carried out when assembly has been carried out by an individual or a workshop outside our network. This verification is necessary to certify that the product is correctly installed and does not present any risk to personal safety..

Visual verification also helps detect possible installation problems that, if they are not corrected, could result in damage due to incorrect assembly.

This activation process is designed to validate the initial installation, not to deal with incidents when the product has already been used and has defects.
