How to solve ERROR E-04 F2 heating YCSH

Error E-04 / F2 in diesel heaters: the most common failure when assembling the diesel pump

One of the most frequent errors in diesel stationary heaters appears right at the time of installation, and it has nothing to do with the control unit or the pump itself. The problem is usually in how to connect the diesel pump.

❌ The typical mistake Many users connect the pump plug by pressing only the plastic of the connector, but they don't press the metal clip.
At first glance it seems well connected, but the connector does not go all the way in.

The result:

• Bad electrical contact

• The pump does not receive correct signal

• The heating detects a fault and does not turn on

🔍 How to connect correctly

As seen in the image above:

1. Press the metal clip on the connector

2. Holding it down, insert the connector into the pump

3. Release the clip only when the connector is fully inserted

4. You should feel a small “click” or notice that it is firm and without looseness.

If the clip is not pressed, the connector stays halfway even though it seems well placed.

• Disconnect the connector

• Repeat the connection by pressing the metal clip

• Make sure it goes all the way in

• Clear the error or restart the heating

In most cases, the error E-04 / F2 disappears immediately without the need to change any parts, If it doesn't disappear, you have to remove the electrical connection. / fuse to reset the control unit.
If the error persists you have to check the wiring, that it has not been cut at some point by the sheet metal of the vehicle during assembly.
